SEKO Tekna Valve Cartridges and Valve Head Sets

Valve cartridges, valve head sets and ball options for SEKO Tekna and Tekna EVO dosing pumps — matched by pump model, at factory-direct compatible prices.

1. Valve Head Sets by Pump Model

A valve head set contains the inlet and outlet check valves with their seals — the most common liquid-end service item after the diaphragm. Match it to your pump model:

Tekna EVO 603 / 800EM990107165Valve head set (EVO series)

2. Ball Material Options

Valve balls come in four materials. The right choice depends on the chemical and duty:

Ball MaterialBest Suited For
CeramicStandard for most chemicals — hard, wear-resistant, good sealing
GlassCost-effective for clean, non-abrasive liquids
PTFEFor aggressive chemicals and high-purity service
Stainless steelHigh-pressure and mechanical-duty applications

4. When to Replace Valves

  • Output drifts or drops below setpoint despite a healthy diaphragm — worn valve balls or seats are the usual cause.
  • Crystallizing chemicals (calcium hypochlorite, ferric chloride) score balls and seats — inspect at every calibration.
  • Replace the valve head set together with the diaphragm (annual PMK service) to keep the whole liquid end fresh.
  • Flush the pump head with water after dosing crystallizing chemicals to extend valve life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I replace just the ball, not the whole cartridge?

Yes — balls and seats are available individually. But if the seat is scored or the body is worn, the full valve head set is more reliable and barely more expensive.

How do I know which ball material my pump uses?

Check the pump's liquid-end code — SEKO codes the head material and ball type in the model suffix. Send us the model and we'll confirm.

Are these compatible with OEM valves?

Yes — dimensionally identical, with the same ball/seat materials. Priced 30–60% below OEM.
