5. Replacement Tips
- ✓ Signs it is time: the pump dispenses less than programmed, or product leaks from the head. Preventively, replace every few seasons depending on operating hours and chemical corrosiveness.
- ✓ Replace the wear set: diaphragm + valve set + injection fitting together — they wear at the same rate.
- ✓ Flush with clean water at the end of the season — acid or hypochlorite left in the head crystallizes valves and hardens membranes.
- ✓ Always wear gloves and goggles when opening the head — concentrated product residue inside.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which SEKO diaphragm do I need for a Tekna 603?
Tekna 600/603/800 (non-EVO) use EM99106975. For a Tekna EVO 603 (APG603), the part is EM00050017. Check whether your pump is EVO or not — the two families use different diaphragms.
Is the Tekna 803 diaphragm different?
Yes. The 803 is the outlier: EM99106986 for the classic Tekna, EM00050018 for the Tekna EVO 803. Neither is interchangeable with the 600/603/800 parts.
What material are SEKO Tekna diaphragms?
Pure solid PTFE, compatible with most chemicals including sodium hypochlorite, acids and coagulants. Our compatible parts use the same PTFE construction.
What else should I replace with the diaphragm?
